Dorothella Smith of Cedar City, Utah, died August 7, 2011. Dorothella was born December 22, 1943, to John L. and Ices Condie. She married Kent N. Smith and to this union three children were born. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions throughout her life. Dorothella loved life and learning. Her parents taught by both word and example that love for others was the greatest gift you could carry in your heart.
Dorothella is survived by her husband Kent N. Smith, her three daughters Lori Kay (Eric) Dennett, Lisa (Todd) Henrie, and Angela (Bruce) Barclay, 14 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, two sisters Eleanor (Ted) Pectol and Rhonda (Patrick) Dover and two brothers Larren (Sandy) Condie and Dan (Sheryl) Condie. Dorothella was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Leo Condie.
Funeral services will be held in the Heritage Chapel, located at 290 W 1045 N in Cedar City, on Thursday, August 11, at 11:00 am with a viewing prior to the service from 9:30-10:30 am at the Church. Interment will be in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
