I was employed at California Pacific Utilities in Cedar City for 4 Years. Among other things doing the demand billings. I returned to the University for 1 year to get a Reading minor and a Learning Disability Endorsement. In 1981 I started working at the Gerald R Sherratt Library, Southern Utah University 13 years as the Circulation Coordinator, the for 18 years and a Cataloger. I was employed at the Library for a total of 31 years. I retired in July 1 2012.
I am a breast cancer survivor.
I lost my husband Rex in March of 2014. He was ill for several years. He spent a year and a half in Kolob Care Center in Cedar City. I cared for him at home as long as I could.

School Story:

I was always very shy and I probably was dyslexic. I remember when I took the aptitude test, I think from Mrs. Frame or Mrs. Palmer, it showed I could be a plumber. I ended up being a Librarian. A little ironic. But Rex said "what's wrong that, plumbers can make a lot of money. He could always make me laught.

December 31st 2019 (New Years Eve) I was transferred to Stonehenge in Cedar City. I had spent 2 months in St George at Dixie Medical Center, first in ICU, then the regular hospital and then to NSR therapy. Just a year. I came home on March 5 2019, a day before my birthday. I no longer need my wheelchair or walker. I bought another Ford Edge and feel good about driving again. I hope everyone had a happy holiday.

ENOCH CITY, Utah, Oct. 31, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Two elderly women were flown to area hospitals in critical condition after a crash between a semi and an SUV in Enoch City Wednesday afternoon. A tweet from the Utah Highway Patrol at 3:45 p.m. said the semi was southbound on SR-130, also known as Minersville Highway, and was in a “bobtail” configuration, meaning it was without a trailer. The Ford Edge SUV was attempting to cross over SR-130 from the stop sign on eastbound Midvalley Road when the two vehicles collided. The semi driver was transported by a personal vehicle to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Enoch City is in Iron County, seven miles northeast of Cedar City. Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information is made available.
