KENT WARNER Iowa City Kent Warner took his last breath peacefully on June 9, 2021, after fighting metastatic kidney cancer for over three years. At 59 years old, Kent loved being a software engineer (Rockwell Collins), bicycling, beach volleyball, drinking microbrews, playing Euchre, Jeep-ing, dogs and beautiful sunsets. Kent was a proud University of Iowa graduate and Navy veteran. He is survived by his mother, Brenda McMillin (Jeff); sisters Jennifer Carpio-Zeller (Steve) and Elizabeth Warner; and loving nieces and nephews. Kent's father, Dick Warner, preceded him in death (1986). Services to be held at the Indian Creek Nature Center, 5300 Otis Road SE, Cedar Rapids, on Friday, June 18.
