School Story:
Seems like so much of my high school days were a blur, but I ended up getting an Art/Acedemic Scholarship to Coe College. I entered this art competition/exhibit and actually won. Did I finish? No! I was in a hurry to grow up. I met a man, whom I ended up marrying, who had a 1 year old and two year old with full custody. I fell into the roll as MOM. I was married in Feb. 1990, and had Jasmine in March. My husband and I discussed me finishing college at a later date and me taking care of the three kids. Well, I've still yet to go back. Oh well. Well, my husband was a recruiter in Cedar Rapids for the Army, so from there we moved to Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana where he worked at the schoolhouse ... and I worked as a waitress ... and from there to HOT Columbia, SC at Fort Jackson, where I again worked as a waitress, and where I ended up having my son, Andre in 1995. OK .. now I'm up to 4 kids. From there we moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia where my husband took over a recruiting station in Norfolk, Virginia and finally retired after 20 years. I divorced him in 2003 - long past due divorce, but now we're actually friends. I got remarried to my current husband, Fernandez. OK .. 4 more kids added on instantly. He had full custody of his youngest two and one of his oldest one's lived with him. Wheww ... now we've only got three at the house all the time. Andre, 13, Lolita 12, and Bobby 10 ... and Jasmine's here for the summer from college. I've got one in the Army, one in the Coast Guard, and two that are just trying to find themselves as grown men. Worked for Countrywide Home Loans for years, and got laid off after they closed in 2007, had back surgery in Feb. 08 ... and am now on a fast recovery ... actually feeling GREAT and having a ball with my life, riding on two wheels all along the East Coast. Life is better than ever now. I'm working for the foreclosure department for a well known attorney here in Virginia Beach, and am happier than ever. Can't wait to see all of you at the reunion!
