70 Karin .. Green McEwen

Since graduating from CB in 1970, I married, raised 3 kids. I worked at "odd" jobs: CB grocery store,co-owned the Tugaske Hotel, was Director of Gamin Abet Group Home in Moose Jaw. In 1997 I started working for Social Services, which is where I am still working. I did obtain my BSW at 50 years of age ( yes, this "old dog" still could learn some new tricks!). I live in Moose Jaw through the week and am home on wk-end /holidays.
I love to garden..flowers/shrubs& trees only. Nothing edible. I also have a HUGE passion for birds and animals...esp my 6 cats.

Jan1/2011...nothing has changed. Still working in Moose Jaw thru the week and home on wk-ends & holidays to play in my garden with plants, birds and cats!!

I remember : in Grade 9, we had Mrs. Menzies for Social Studies ( I think..maybe it was "health"). Anyways, without fail, she would walk in , with her text, and sit on the desk and READ it to us. I was bored silly. So I brought an alarm clock to class, set to go off in the middle it. Right on time...it RANG. Mrs. Menzies looked up, and without a pause said "it's about time you guys woke up!". I realize now just how well she handled that!
