After high school I went to Baylor and got a bachelor of science degree in Forensic Science. I then did a year of research at the UTHSC Tyler in biomedical science (where I met my now fiance). I was then accepted into Ross University School of Medicine and did my basic sciences in the Republic of Dominica (in the Caribbean) for 16 months, then moved to Miami for a few months of clinical, then a year of clinicals in NYC. I also lived in Atlanta and Shreveport. I graduated medical school Aug 31, 2010 with my MD and started residency in Internal Medicine at LSUHSC in Shreveport, LA. I am engaged with my wedding planned for July 16, 2011. My fiance, Mike Root, works in Biomedical Engineering at UTHCT.

Being in the band was the best part of high school! I'll never forget the fun we had at the football games and our trips to Disney World and Tennessee!
