Daniel "Dan" Heeren, 63, of Charles City, passed away Monday, Jan. 23, 2017, at his home.

According to Dan’s wishes, there will be no public service.

Daniel James Heeren was born to Donald and Mary Ann (Cline) Heeren on Oct. 31, 1953 in Tampa, Fla. He lived for most of his life in Charles City and obtained his college degree from Coe College in Cedar Rapids.

He is survived by his children: Matt (Jill) Heeren and Michelle (Jason) Bahnsen; and seven grandchildren.
