“Bob,” as he was affectionately known by family and friends had lived most all of his life in Charles City.
Bob was employed as the maintenance manager for McDonald’s in Charles City, having been with the company for 24 years. His duties included maintenance supervision over eight stores in the area. Bob was known as “Mr. Fix-It” and an extremely hard worker.
He was the kind of person who would do anything for anyone. He had a passion and love for animals, especially horses, cats and dogs. Bob will be remembered as a great practical joker.
Some of Bob’s interest and leisure activities included camping and driving around on his golf cart, passing the time with his dog, “Otis,” fishing, traveling and seeing the countryside.
He also enjoyed NASCAR, “Alf” and wrestling. He will be best remembered as someone who was loving, caring, solid as a rock, being family oriented and a very special brother.
