Norman Lawhorn

As of 2014 I have been married 49 years......to three different women. This is what happens when you over recommend yourself on the front end only to have your wife discover the truth several years later (wink). I've loved living in Tennessee since 1962 but plan to move to Florida in the near future. I wish the very best to all my former fellow Charleston High students.

My friend Robbie Balhatchet was the sports reporter for The Book Strap in 1962. He wrote a story about me because I rode a motorcycle at the time. In the story he called me "the skid lid kid". When the story broke I realized that he had stated that my ambition was to someday race motorcycles at Daytona. I had never made any such statement. It later occurred to me that the only reason he proclaimed such an embellishment was to create a sensation and improve circulation. He laughed about that for years. I understand that Robbie is deceased now which makes me very sad. He was a dear friend.
