KUDOS to our own HURRICANE DAVE RUSH!

WONDERFUL MEMORY

I was particularly struck by SALLY MYERS' post about a "time in the past" involving MIKE EVE.  Please read!  Something tells me there will be an "unofficial unveiling" during Friday night's event?

"Hey, does everyone remember that Mike Eve, who is now a lawyer, is an artist? We were in Mrs. Farris' Art Class together and for one of his projects, he made a porcelain clay sculpture of me. A couple of years ago, he let me take it home! She (the sculpture) was getting a few lines, cracks and crumbles, so I had a Commissioned Artisan do some restoration and I am bringing her with me to the Dilworth Grille. Here is a photo of her from the side and you can see her in person on Friday night!Hey, does everyone remember that Mike Eve, who is now a lawyer, is an artist? NOTE FROM SALLY:   "When I moved here to Murrell's Inlet, I decided the decorating theme for my house would be "Coastal."  (I know, could NOT be less original.) But I discovered Susan's work and it was perfect! So now I have 4 pieces of hers on my walls.

When I was first stationed in Northern California (1997), I was on a day trip to Sacramento and went into a book shop.  I saw some calendars for sale there and one really got my attention.  I looked through it and loved the artwork.  When I looked on the back, I saw it was Susan Arant's work!  I made an effort to get in touch with her to tell her I had bought her calendar and was so thrilled to have it.   I got in touch with her again when I moved to SC and am very happy to have her work in my house!

Susan has a world, or global, certification and has done so well - she has china also!"
