Pamela Kaleel Segal
AUGUST 30, 1953 – DECEMBER 20, 2021

IN THE CARE OF
Pamela Kaleel Segal, 68, passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 20, 2021, surrounded by her close friends and family. Pamela was born and raised in Charlotte. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Margaret Kaleel.
Pamela had many artistic talents, and her mother wanted to send her to Juilliard to pursue her talent in piano. Pamela was blessed with physical beauty, as well as such inner beauty, and decided to share it with the world by pursuing a modeling career. During that time, she met and fell in love with Stuart Segal, dated and married, and had three wonderful children.
She devoted her life to her family with loving care because they meant the world to her, and she to them. She was a very loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend. She will be so greatly missed. Pamela is survived by her husband, Stuart; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Vikki Kaleel; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Allie Segal and David and Amanda Segal; daughter, Stephanie Segal; granddaughter, Alexis Segal; and step-grandson Kai. All reside in Charlotte.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021 at the Hebrew Cemetery. It can also be viewed live on the Hebrew Cemetery Association of Charlotte Facebook page.

What a punch to the gut/heart to hear of Pam's passing. Pam's family had a lovely home in Stonehaven when we were in high school and a group of us hung out there especially over the summers. Pam liked to cook Lebanese food and she would literally throw noodles against the wall to see if they were ready! I am sure our little group could be annoying to her parents and I clearly remember her mother, calling out through the house, "Pamela Annnnnn!" And we would know we were too loud or it was time to go. (When my four daughters were growing up, sometimes, when I would get aggravated at their noisyness or hyper activity, I would call out, "PAMELA ANN!" hoping that somehow that would help.) During one summer, Pam and I took a little modeling class together and I think the instructor was a family friend. I remember that on the first evening of the class, Pam looked like a natural, smooth and expressive and I felt like a dork, but it was a worthwhile experience. I was hoping so much that I would see her at the Reunion.

Yes Sally, it is so sad. We had such fun at Pams. I can still hear Aunt Mackie yelling? I remember our senior picnic at freedom park. I let her drive my car. She had an accident with another elderly couple. We were so scared to tell my Dad and all he was interested in, was everyone ok. Like you said, so much cooking and eating. She was so beautiful and I can hear her laughter right now. Praying for peace and comfort for her family.
