I served in the United States Navy for approximately two years at the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Headquarters in Belgium. A few years later I served as a U.S. Army Artillery/Nuclear Missile officer in Germany and the United States.
After my military service I became a licensed Nursing Home Administrator, working primarily as the Executive Director in a number of Continuing Care Retirement Communities CCRC).
During my career and since my retirement, I have been very involved with my Church, including service as a lay minister for many years.
Most importantly to me is my family. I was married in 1979. Susan and I have four children, twin daughters almost 41, a daughter 38, and a son 33. The twins have blessed us with four granddaughters and one grandson.
