What I've been doing the past 50 years: Just life, with all its twists turns, challenges, mistakes, epiphanies, and most of all opportunities and blessings, mixed with academia. Writing and teaching. Back to school in the second chapter of life, earning a masters and doctorate in geology - my specific discipline: climate, w/ focus on network behavior. (2012: CU). More writing and occasional presenting thereafter.

No single school story of note to offer. I can offer this: Post-graduation, I left for Los Angeles for undergraduate work in geology (USC) and realized I was more than prepared for anything that came my way. I quickly became aware of how fortunate we MP students had been, having had great teachers who made us think, who demanded excellence and responsibility, and who allowed us to 'find our own way' - all skills most useful!
