Mr. Charlie T. Burch passed away on May 10, 2024, in Charlotte, North Carolina at the age of 68. He was born on April 21, 1956, in Charlotte Mecklenburg County in North Carolina. He met his childhood sweetheart Carolyn Thomas when they were in the 9th grade at Kennedy Junior High School, and they were married in 1977. Their union brought three beautiful children into the world. Charlie was a hardworking man who retired from Lance Cooperation and continued to work at various other jobs during his retirement. He was a loving Husband and Father who cherished his family deeply. A quiet-natured and gentle man, Charlie had a smile that could light up a room. He was also a proud member of the Myers Park High School football team where he graduated in 1974. Charlie furthered his education at Elon University where earned a Bachelor of Science degree and graduated in 1978. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Burch, sons Charvaris Burch (Michele) and Charles Burch, brother Ricky Burch, brothers-in-law Pervis Thomas (Shelita) and Ronald Thomas, Mother-in-law Mary Thomas, sister-in-law Crystal Howard, Aunts Mildred Kirkland, Queen Johnson, and Elloree Irwin, Uncle Lewis Mingo, Godmother Alice Morrow, 8 grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie T. Burch, mother Ella Burch, sister Sarah Charlene Burch, and daughter Pertania Burch. Charlie enjoyed bowling, listening to EWF music, and was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church where he worshipped.
