This is Ann Woodruff Newton, and here is my proposal for our next gathering - at my house:

A Kentucky Derby afternoon drop-in………

·       Saturday, May 3 from 1-3pm

·        Please bring a favorite dish to share:  potato salad, deviled eggs, cornbread, fried chicken, leafy salad, dessert, etc. - whatever dish you love to make.

·        I will make two crockpots - Calico Bean Chili and Chicken Vegetable Stew.

·        Bring your favorite wine or beer.  I will only have Black Box Wine here.

·        Leave your high heels at home!  I have a very steep driveway – totally not appropriate for sexy, fancy shoes. 

Kentucky Derby Hats, however, are just fine

 * I have two cats so, if you are allergic, bring your Benadryl. They will not bother you!  One is very friendly, loves people, and will start purring at the sight of you.  The other one can be rather bitchy if you get too close to his face.  Our dog will NOT be here, as she’ll want to sit in everyone’s lap. She is overly friendly and affectionate and wants to jump all over our guests.
