After HS, attended UNC-CH, 1978 Interdisciplinary BA; 1981 JD from Mercer - WFG School of Law. Joined Army as Attorney in 1981. Received an LLM degree in Military Law in 1992; Received LLM in Federal Procurement Law from George Washington Law in 1995. Retired from Army in 2005. Served as Associate Deputy General Counsel at Army General Counsel Office in Pentagon 2005 - 2019, focusing on weapon systems acquisition and Cyber law. Retired from GS civilian service in 2019 and moved to Matthews NC. Currently producing/making a computer animated Sci-Fi film.
