FORMAN, Gregory Anthony, of Richmond, died on May 16, 2017 at Henrico Doctors' Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in New York, New York on June 7, 1956, to parents, Elena Donatelli Forman and Arthur Jerome Forman Jr. Predeceased by his parents, he is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Steele Forman; and daughters, Helen Elizabeth Forman Dille (John) and Anne Mills Forman. He is also survived by his siblings, Marielena Forman Garbark (Stephen), Arthur Francis Forman (Bardeen), Anthony Joseph Forman (Kimberly), Suzanne Forman Hodge (Charles); and his 10 nieces and nephews. Greg grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina and was graduated from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte, with a B.S. in accounting. The family moved to Richmond in 1994, where he joined the partnership at Mitchell, Wiggins and Co. A member of the Commonwealth Club, Greg spent many enjoyable hours there, most especially as President of the Estate Planning Council of Richmond. A former President of the Private Business Study Group and of the Richmond Public Library Board, he was also a member of the Board of Trustees of The Trust Company of Virginia. Greg was involved in many community organizations throughout the years, serving as President of the Museum District Association, and board member of the Monument Avenue Preservation Society and the Westmoreland Place Association. He served his Lord in ways too numerous to count, most recently as Treasurer of Christ Community Church. Greg loved flying and playing golf, but, more than anything, he will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his extraordinary generosity and caring heart. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bliley's Funeral Home (3801 Augusta Avenue, Richmond) on Thursday, May 18. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 19, from the chapel at Bliley's, with entombment at Hollywood Cemetery immediately following.
