Ms. Herran, age 52 of Charlotte, died Monday, June 22, 2009, at Brian Center Shamrock. She was born October 3, 1956, in Charlotte, daughter of Jean Herran King and Rafael C. Herran. Rose graduated from Myers Park High School in 1974 with awards for her art work. She was a former member of Myers Park Baptist Church, was helpful with the care of her peers and valued time with her family. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 25, 2009, at Myers Park Baptist Church conducted by Reverend Gary Hudson. The family will receive friends following the service.

Survivors include her mother Jean Herran King of Matthews; three brothers Peter R. Herran of Charlotte, Vincent W. Herran of Greenville, SC, and R. Michael Herran of Charlotte. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice, or Hospice and Palliative Care, Charlotte Region, 1420 E. 7th St., Charlotte, NC 28204. Arrangements are by McEwen Charlotte Chapel, 5716 Monroe Rd., NC 28212.
