Geno Petro, 67, of Chattanooga passed away Friday, June 21, 2024 at his residence.

A native of Bristol, PA; Geno spend 25 years in Chicago, IL before moving to Chattanooga in 2019.

He received his Master’s Degree from Slippery Rock University in PA and enjoy a long and successful real estate career in Chicago.      Upon moving to Chattanooga he became a broker with the Mark Hite Team at Real Estate Partners where he developed many wonderful and close friendships.

Geno was an avid traveler and after moving to Chattanooga he enjoyed camping.   He had an extensive guitar collection and was a 3rd degree black belt in the karate community.

He was a member of Unity of Chattanooga.

Geno was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Mitzi Petro.

He is survived by his wife, Mona Petro;  daughter, Jenna (Mike) Szot, Richmond, VA;  son, Ryan (Nancy) Brignole, Brentwood, TN:  2 sisters, Elizabeth (Brian) Vibber, Doylestown, PA and Margie Petro, Fairless Hills, PA;  2 grandchildren, Charlotte and Matilda Brignole; 2 nieces, Emma and Abbey Vibber; father & mother-in-law, Jim and Betty Brackeen, Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 11th at 3:30 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Doug Werth officiating.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at 5 pm on Thursday, July 11th at Unity of Chattanooga, 105 McBrien Road, Chattanooga, Tn 37421.
