Susan Shuman Lail
Ms. Lail of Charlotte, NC passed on to heaven on May 16, 2008. She was a devoted, caring and loving mother, daughter, sister and friend and will be remembered in the hearts and minds of all who knew her.
Susan Lail was born February 26, 1955, and raised in Charlotte NC, daughter of Dot Shuman and the late, Jack Shuman Sr. She graduated from Myers Park High School and worked at Byrum's General Store. Susan was an avid pet lover, enjoyed spending time on the lake where she made her home, and dearly loved her daughter and best friend, Jackie Lail. In addition to her daughter, Jackie, and her mother, Dot, Susan is survived by her brother, Mike Shuman and his wife.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, May 18, 2008 from 3:00 until 5:00 PM at Hankins & Whittington. A private graveside service will be held on Monday, May 19, for the family and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. The family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff of Hankins & Whittington.
