In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Lemuel (Dora) Clements, Linwood (Stella) Clements, Robert Clements, and Rodger Clements; her sisters, Nancy Ann (Gene) Canipe, Fay Rebecca Davis; and brother-in-law, Ray Walker.
Ethel is survived by her son Patrick Van (Latita), sister Esther Walker, brother-in-law Tommy Davis; sister-in-law Thelma Clements, two grandchildren, Luke Robert and Shelby Emma (Jason Kent) and a host of nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
She graduated from Albemarle High School and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Blue Ridge Sanatorium and as an LPN at UVA for 36 years.
Ethel was a very sweet, kind, and caring person who enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
A service will be held in the Spring which was her favorite time of the year.
The family would like to thank the Hospice of the Piedmont and Greene Acres Rehabilitation nurses for their care of Ethel.
