Peggy Adams (Trollinger)

Captain Peggy Trollinger Adams, U.S. Army (Ret.), 75, of Chester, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent C. and Virginia Barbour Trollinger; life partner, Judy Simmons; and sisters, Virginia S. Nobles and Hazel Ryland. She is survived by her nephew, Donald Y. Nobles; nieces, Mary Yates Nobles and Barbara Altizer; nine great-nieces and great-nephews; and close family friend, Andy Stables. Peggy, a retired Captain in the U.S. Army, served in Vietnam. She received her Master's Degree in Nursing from the University of Virginia and was one of the first Licensed Nurse Practitioners in the state of Virginia. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 31, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, where a service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010, with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
