Life:

Hello Everyone from Kirkman Tech: Are you getting to the age that you would like to find friends from high school, grammar school, or college? Well I'm ready to reconnect with friends that I thought I would never find out what happened with them. I'm living in Mission Viejo, California. I've lived in California since 1963. I met and married a man from Tennessee, but, he decided to make California his home after the Navy. He also went to Kirkman in 1959. We have three children, two girls and a boy. I got married in 1963 and we were married 41 years in October. I have 5 granddaughters and 2 grandsons. I have been working for the County of Los Angeles Superior Court for 18 years and I am retired and loving it. . My husband and I bought a small ranch in Tennessee ten years ago and we were looking forward to moving back to a slower pace of life. He passed away in 2004 so we got to go back to our Ranch three times before he passed. I still own the Ranch and go back about every three or four months now. I was just back their in May and I am planning on coming back for the Reunion in October.

I'm hoping to reconnect with old friends and classmates, since, I have not kept in contact with anyone since graduation.

I was so excited to find out that our class well be having a reunion date set for 2012, but, I have had the opportunity to come back for the last two years and have enjoyed the reunions.

I have talked with Jackie Barlew, Sue Childress Posey, Sue Farmer, and Carthal House. How wonderful to talk and look back to the good old days.

I always wanted to be a secretary for the united nations when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a crazy idea. As it turns out, they were right. When I graduated I applied for a job which would take me to Washington DC to work for the government. I got the job but I chickened out at the last moment. So, I moved to California, met my husband, started a family and I have been here ever since.

God has been good to me giving me a family that is close and they all Love the Lord. My grandkids are all grown, all have gone to College, two are teachers, and five are still in College. My youngest is thirteen and is a good student also. He goes to skid row and passes out food to the homeless. How many young men do you know that will do this. Most are scared of the homeless but he is not. I don't know what God has planned for him but I hope and pray he stays on the right path.

My oldest daughter, Lorrie, was just diagnosed with breast cancer in April and has been going through chemo and radiation plus she had surgery also. She is doing good and hopefully she will be able to come to the high school reunion with me this year since she will not be teaching school again until December 2012. Lorrie's husband is also a teacher.

My son works for LAPD and my son-in-law works for LA county sheriff department. Have some real stories to tell their.

My other daughter Karen is also a teacher and loves the students teaching them about our Lord and Savior.

If you would like to reconnect and share stories of your life with me I would love to hear what you have been up to and how your life and travels have been other the past 50 years. Love all of you and looking forward to seeing all of you in October
