Things I've been doing lately:
Not much! I am retired from the Federal Government after 33 years of service. Can be found on FB as Joyce Payne Allen.
My family:
I have one daughter, Caren Rene, who is a Human Resources Specialist with Carilion. She received her BA from Va. Western Comm. College, and in May 2010 received her BS in Health Management from the Jefferson College of Health Sciences.
Life experiences:
Went to work in Washington DC in Jan 65 to work for the U.S. Information Agency. I married an Air Force guy and transferred to Bolling AFB. When he went to Vietnam I returned to the Agency and then returned to Bolling AFB. Moved to Roanoke VA in 1980, went to work for Veterans Affairs Medical Center for 22 years. I retired from there in 2002. I am currently not married and loving life.
My favorite memories of the good ole days:
Rock n Country Club the drive-in restaurants on Rossville Blvd Kirkman's first ever football team working at the 23rd St Drive In Theater working at Blue Cross/Blue Shield John Smothers the silly things we used to do in downtown Chatt too many memories to list.
My favorite things now:
Ancestry, reading, sewing, keeping up with friends on Facebook, playing games on the computer, and whatever.

"The Way We Were" - movie "Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas" - book by John Patterson (also a Lifetime TV movie) Country music, gospel music, old time rock n roll
