Have tried keeping in touch with as many of my classmates from Kirkman as I could through the years! Some of my most memorable years were when I was at Kirkman and I'll always cherish them! I continued singing with different bands and even had my own and enjoyed every minute of it! I was blessed to be able to stay home with my children until they were all in school, then took up my music again. Cancer held me down for a while, but beat it and started singing again! I'll always love singing and will never give that up! Living in an old restored Victorian house for almost 11 yrs. now but soon to move to Myrtle Beach, SC with my sweet hubby when he retires! Got us a condo right on the beach and looking forward to enjoying it!
I have so many good memories from Kirkman I can't imagine elaborating on just one, but my favorite time was in the choir! I loved working in the office with Mrs. Rhea, Mr. Lewis, Mr. Pennington, Mrs. Deering, and other classmates! Running errands up and down the halls for the teachers were really fun, especially when I was able to see Mr. Barlew in his shop because he was the nicest teacher of all! I enjoyed seeing my brother, Wayne, in his class too or going to Cosmetology to see my twin, Gloria. SO many memories! Loved Mrs. Joanne Phillips too, she was awesome!

I've been lucky enough to travel all over the U.S. And parts of the world. Lived in Guam, been to Alaska, Japan, and every state except a few in the Northeast. Lived in Marquette, MI, Jacksonville Beach, FL, Orlando, FL, Cedar Rapids, IA, but alas came back home to Chattanooga, where I had all three of my children in Erlanger! Was lucky enough to be at the last Christmas show Bob Hope performed in Guam for the troops;getting to meet him and his wife, Delores because the Governors daughter there had become my friend and that's who they sat with! I also met Santana & Oliver in a fancy bar at the Daiechi in Guam while they were vacationing! What a thrill that was and the only reason I was there is because I had changed a flat tire on a big station wagon off Marine Dr. in Guam for a Japanese family and they awarded me a whole week stay in this fancy resort there! The family were relatives of the Emperor of Japan!
My husband now of almost 14 years I met when he flew into town from Iowa to a big pig roast on Sale Creek mountain where I was performing. Many years later he showed up at the same pig roast, and it was instant attraction! We got married there the next year!
i was in TOEC. Have been in the secretarial field for years. Was a Medical Transcriptionist, Receptionist, Administrative Assistant.
Wow, I had many friends there, but I believe my favorite was and still is Betty Patrick (Beth Tapley).
