CHENEY HIGH SCHOOL
CLASS OF 1980 REUNION

 

In order to both have a good time and to keep costs down, we’ve been working hard to make this reunion as casual and fun as possible. The following agenda is current as of June 30th, 2010. We look forward to the opportunity to reconnect with friends and classmates.
 
Friday, July 30
 
TOUR - 4:00PM - We have arranged for a guided tour of Cheney High School.  There have been big changes made to the school and the campus over the last 30 years, come see them all!
 
ICEBREAKER – 6:00PM at Eagles Pub, downtown Cheney.  Lots of items on the menu to choose from (we will have a link on the website with the menu from the Eagles Pub soon).  Minors are welcome in the pub until 11:00PM and food is served until 2:00AM.

For anyone wishing to stay at the Holiday Inn Express, we have a block of 25 rooms reserved at a special rate of $109 a night.  When contacting Holiday Inn Express, just mention that you are part of the CHS 1980 Reunion.  The hotel offers a shuttle to and from downtown, Cheney, for anyone concerned about needing a designated driver.
 
1980 TRIVIA - 7:00 - 9:00PM Hosted by our own Allan Gainer, at the Pub, for anyone who would like to jog the old memory.  Afterwards, there will be a DJ until 2:00AM.  The Pub also offers a dance floor, pool tables, darts and outdoor seating.
 
Saturday, July 31

GOLFING - 7:30AM at the Indian Canyon Golf Course - $35
This is not a tournament, it’s for fun, no GHIN numbers needed. Long Drive and Closest-to-the-Pin will be in play for prizes.  Your option to rent pull/power cart.  To reserve a tee time, contact Mark Anderson at (206) 448-9274 or marka@ckacorp.com.

MAIN EVENT – 6:00PM – 1:00AM at the Willow Springs Restaurant in Cheney. Classmate Mike Hartman will be setting up a buffet style offering upstairs, for more of a private gathering.  Drinks will be available (on a pay for your own bases). Happy hour from 3PM to 6PM with $1.50 can beer, $2.50 draft beer, $3.00 wells and wine for a $1.75 glass (Download PDF of the Willow Springs Restaurant Menu).  Please attend in casual attire and plan on contests and door prizes while at the event.  Allan will be spinning the music, fresh off the 80’s tracks.  $30 per classmate, $40 classmate with one guest.

If you are unable to attend, we are hoping to have some computers available to use and chat with classmates at the reunion in a virtual sort of way.

No events are planned yet for this day, but that doesn’t exclude you from making plans on your own with friends and classmates.
