DECLASSIFED MILITARY SECRETS

If you don't like Hillary, I suggest it would be more beneficial to find an alternative candidate rather than continuous bitching and moaning. So far, I have not seen one single mention of a better representative.

I don't particularly like Hillary Clinton, but I don't think bitching about her is going to change history. I suggest y'all might consider better use of your energy and backing a better candidate. Bernie Sanders strikes me as a more respectable contestant for the office of President later this year. Perhaps we can direct all the hot air in here toward supporting him and defeating Hillary.

Sticks and stones won't break Hillaries bones, but a better candidate just might unseat her.

So sad, Shelley, that you would advocate an avowed Socialist to become President of the United States of America...

Looks like Shelley's back.

Dave,

Perhaps you should read Bernie's platform before you throw out vague generalities like "avowed Socialist." And if you don't like him, perhaps  you can NAME somebody better.

It's so easy to criticize and so very hard to contribute. Doesn't say much for the PMC/Widener mentality, education, or training. The purpose of a college education is to learn how to think. And the best military leaders are thinkers more than fighters. They learn how to conduct warfare, not how to win bar fights.

I'm disappointed in the quality of this forum.

Shelley,

As to Senator Sanders being a Socialist, all you need to read is:

http://dailycaller.com/2014/03/15/socialist-bernie-sanders-begins-to-lay-out-his-socialist-presidential-platform/

And I respectfully submit that your other comments are disappointing.

"It's so easy to criticize and so very hard to contribute. Doesn't say much for the PMC/Widener mentality, education, or training."    Perhaps you could stop to think that to criticize is a contribution.   But mixing your criticism of critizing with the PMC/Widener mentality, education, or training is uncalled for.  The PMC/Widener mentality, education, or training never called for an absence of criticism (except during Rook period for Rooks...)

"The purpose of a college education is to learn how to think."   Yes, it is, Shelley...   But if you are inferring those who are opposed to Senator Sanders or Mrs. Clinton don't know how to think you're denying that the purpose of a college education is to learn how to think.

"I'm disappointed in the quality of this forum."   Is that perhaps because Jerry Johnson and I plus many others have an opposing view than that which you hold?   Do you really think "quality of this forum" is measured by agreement on issues?

Best regards,

dave....

Great Post Dave. You're spot on.

Shelley: For the time being, this is still a free America. Which means, you are free to walk away from the forum should you choose, so as to not heighten your dissapointment. However, I hope that you don't do that. While we may not agree with your beliefs, we do respect your opinion(s), and your American RIGHT to express them.

Now, pardon me, but Bernie Sanders says he's a Socialist.....self professed. Chris Matthews says he's a Socialist. Mark Levin says Bernie's a Socialist, as does Alan West and Killary. What am I missing here???

Gotta' go before my PTSD kicks in and Clark gets a nuclear wedgie.

Hello Classmates!!!

Let's all sit back and take a breath (myself included), pop open a beer, open a nice bottle of wing, pour a glass of your favorite beverage (straight up or over rocks), sit back and relax.

I respect and admire you all,

Clark

Gentlemen,  It seems that political discussions always end up with some level of acrimony.  Maybe that's why the Naval Service (read Navy and Marine Corps) always taught us that three topics are forbidden to discussion aboard a ship at sea:  Religion, Politics, and Sex !   Every heard that before?   Still, it's a hot topic and very important to our country, especially now after 8 years of Obama.

I throw my sentiments in with Gerry, Dave, Ed, and others who share a dissatisfaction with the present regime. Sanders and Hillary are two peas in a pod, although Hillary won't speak her mind, probably, in part, because  she is a weak leader. When one promises "free education for all" and economic equality across the board, there is simply no other name for it than socialism.  And both of them support that whole program of wealth redistribution.

There are alternatives.   Any of the Republican candidates would make a good start.   There's a long way to go yet, but we need some real "Hope and Change" this time around.

Well said, Bill...   The only change I would make is that my Grandmother advised me when I was about to matriculate at PMC that I should avoid three topics:   Religion, Politics, and Fraternities...   Sorta like the Navy/Marine imperative but she as a lady of her age who was much like Lady Grantham wouldn't have wanted to mention sex...

Hey Guys,

Want to start a fight?  Talk about ; Religion, sex, politics, and money: walk into any bar and you can start trouble with any one or all of the above subjects.  Yes I do know!  Be nice! and remember SMILE.

Clark;

At least we're communicating !!!!!!! GEEZ

Nobody can accuse the PMC Class of '66 of being politically correct, and we do like our "micro agressions" (what a BS Term that is). It's embedded deeply in our genes. We're Warriors; Menard, Phillips, Detlie, Cloud.....they all contributed as role models.

Continued dialogue should grease the skids for a terrific and very interesting 50th.

Best regards to all you brass knuckle bullies;

Jerry

OK. To get the day started:

RELIGION: God is Great

POLITICS: Get rid of everyone in D.C. and replace them with true Patriots who love and support the Constitution of the United States of America

SEX: This is a Communist Cu_t

 Gerry's retort was beautiful, except that what I would do with Hanoi Jane would be a far cry from sex.

Ed,  You will always be a Great Saloon Mate.  Together in a bar, we'd have 'em surrounded !

Hey Clark;

Regarding our 50th, will we need to check our guns at the door?

 Clark,

The Forums" line (i.e., "more") to read messages doesn't seem to be working. I got here by going to the Class of 1966 directly.

Mine doesn't work either Shelley. Had to do the same thing.

When it first failed, I was afraid that Clark knocked me off the site!! Thank God that we can still use the site to keep our blood and dialogue flowing. This site helps us fight off the early onset of Alsheimers !!

Sorry about the problems with the site.  I haven't experienced them. I'll check into it.

Spell check works, my fingers don't. Jerry, we just discovered "Black Chicken" Zin from Napa. We had a tasting at the winery.  They only make Zinfendel and it's all good.

Clark
