The football team was working out in the upper stadium one fall day when I hear someone say,"That plane is going to land on the playing field. He must have engine problems", "Look Out"!

I look up and see this one engine plane, in a slow decent. (which has the plane landing on us Soon).

At about 1,000 feet (approx.) the plane levels out and I could see Jeff Travers, with head phone on, smiling at us. ( With a shit eating grin). 

Sure enough someone called the local police (with plane tail numbers) and the next thing I hear from Jeff (a friend) is that he has been kicked out of the "PMC ROTC Flight Program" and that Col.Menard, as (Jeff relates the story to me) "Had a cow".

I'm sure, if you ask Jeff, That event must have been a very embarrassng situation. (Especially since Jeff was the "S-3 of Biiliy's Brigade Staff". (at the time).

"Double Standard", I thought later. "I get reduced to "Senior Private" for sleeping during the day after  being beat up "defending PMC's Honor" at Drexel University and Travers "pulls this stunt" and still keeps his rank.  That is when I had "first hand proof" that "RANK HAS ITS ( You fill the last  word)". 

I was really upset, (Me & Col.Menard had a running battle for the rest of the year).  Note: (Happy for Jeff though).
