Cadet 195's Penn Military Unofficial Review Posted Tuesday, October 2, 2018 04:08 PM What to write? Should I write an Oral History of our Class going back to 1821...boring. ( All cadets had to learn that stuff as Rooks, remember, "How's the Cow" etc). What about what I experienced at PMC 62-66?; ( Been there, Done that in the 21 Vinettes using "User Forum"). What were my Feeling back then? That's what needs to be said. Think Bobby. I decided to stop and watch the "Baseball Post Season" game and feature shows. There was a segment on the "Player of the Week". (A NY Yankees first baseman acquired from the St. Louis Cadinals recently)". He said something in answer to a question that gave me my idea. "Luke",the interviewer asked, "What happened from the Cardinals to now"?. (having a batting average now of 302 and an On Base Percentage of 428.... from 182.) He said "my timing was OFF". That's it! PMC's timing was off. "PMC Colleges" what the hell is that. "Penn Morton College" are you kidding me. I didn't like it (At The Tme) at all. I went through all of this Military stuff, I thought, bought into the Cadet Corps and now I can't use Pennsyvania Military College in the future on my resume? I did not Like Dr. Clarence Moll, at all. That's my Oral history (recollections of my feeling then) of PMC Class of 66..I WAS WRONG. Widener University is an oustanding growing Nationally ranked college. Note. They could have kept the Cadet Corps in tact like Texas A&M did, though. Bobbyj |

RE: Cadet 195's Penn Military Unofficial Review Posted Tuesday, October 2, 2018 10:51 PM Bobby, I totally agree about the lame names. We could have tried to keep the Corp. The issue was applicants and money. We were an independent private school, no government interference or influence. During that period,Vietnam, it was tough to recruit. I actually had a lot of respect for Moll and how he kept the school solvent during that period. I felt he had no choice.
