Stuart Weston Smith passed on October 25th 2007 from a cold that turned into a devastating case of pneumonia that struck him down in about 4 days.  He spent most of his life in Stamford, NY.

I attended the memorial service for him in Stamford, and spoke with his sons and his ex wife Helen (also from Stamford, NY), whom many of us had the privilege to meet during our PMC years.  Stu was my roommate one year and a constant co-conspirator with me during all of our time at PMC.

Stu and I ran the illegal hot-dog concession on Monday through Thursday nights - during our senior year.  We consistently sold 120 hotdogs in less than 12 minutes up on a corridor where two of the new dorms connected.  Fifty cents each, no change, a fresh baked premium bun, with all the free sauerkraut, mustard and ketchup you wanted.

I am sure that everyone who knew Stu would agree that he was a strong willed, thoughtful, independent thinker who always worked to arrive at a fair and just outcomes (according to his point of view).

God Bless you Stuart.  I miss you.
