Ryne is right. We had a blast at the last one, everyone, if you can possibly make it try to do so. The next time we have a chance to do this we will all be almost 60! (Lord knows how I even made it this far) It will be something you will be smiling about on your way home after its over and glad you decided to come. Besides, who could pass up the chance to try DeOrio's beer?

See you then.

Bryan, how did you make it this far? I am pretty sure I am not going to the next one. I don't want to be reminded of how I acted after drinking several glasses of Mark's Ale tomorrow night. Plus, everyone will have pictures of me in that suit I promissed I would wear. Now that the time is here I am not so brave. Plus I still don't have the shoes or belt to match.

Mark, I am going to need to come by early for some liquid courage.

Hey, anyone think of setting up a webcam and use Skye.com at the event so we could chat with preople like Bob in Oregon?

Okay you all talked me into it. I am coming down from Baltimore tomorrow with my wife. Looking forward to seeing everyone and tasting some of Mark's beer.

see you soon!

I'm starting to think that I should go to lunch on that side of town tomorrow. DeOrio sounds like he's got an open bar working.

Now that is the spirit! Anyone else up for a last minute trip?

Hey all,

Already checked in at the Lancer Party Select Inn. Have a new room number (#835). Stop by for a pre party as the Ale will be tapped at ~5:00.

For those of you who couldn't attend, I'm sorry. The rest of us had a great time. One of my best remembrances will be the excitement exhibited by the teachers who could attend and their interactions with both each other and us.

Priceless.

Thanks to everyone who helped pull this reunion together. It was a lot of fun and it was so great to see everybody. If you didn't attend, you MUST attend next time. It really was a lot of fun.

Thanks Karen, Charles and everyone involved in planning and putting in the work for the party last night! I had a great time and I know everyone else did also. My face hurts from laughing so hard all night. Catching up with old friends was something that I wish I could do more often.
Thanks again Karen and crew.

Nice job Karen and everyone. I had a great time seeing you all. I think the last time I stayed up until 3:00 AM was at he last reunion 10 years ago. It may take a few weeks to recover. Mark that was the best beer thank you for bringing it. Anyone seen Brad Love?

Thank you to Karen Stanley Ernst for putting this thing together. I wouldn't have even remembered that the 30th year was coming up. It was great seeing so many of you there, and I tried to say hi to everyone but ran out of time! Hope to see all of you at the next one!

For those who couldn't attend, classmates invited some of their favorite teachers. Coach Swelnis didn't stay for dinner, but some others did and appeared to have a good time.

Awesome video, Peter, thanks!
Any more? Anyone? Pics?

How was the attendance? How many people showed up?
Who changed the most? Who looked exactly the same? Who came from farthest away?

Sure wish I could've been there.

Pat Dodson (Tricia --I Dont Go By "Little Pat" Anymore :) )

Hello everyone!

I am so bummed that I wasnt there but I am awaiting a surgery and between that and finances right now 3,000 miles to travel was just a bit much.

I am so looking forward to the next reunion (maybe 5 years?) And EVERYONE looks amazing!

I am telling you! HOllywood has NOTHING on the class of 1979!

Thank you so much for sharing the photos and videos. It means alot to me since I couldnt be there its nice to feel like I can see what happened!

Hugs to all,

Tricia

I have some more snippets of video, but the lighting was down so low that I will have to play with it. I will try later today to play with it. Please have some patience with me - I'm an editing rookie.

In response to the number of people attending - there were 112 people there including the teachers - so I guess that was 107 including spouses and guests.

The attendance really took off in the last 10 days or so. The number count went from 74 to ...

For those who couldn't attend, I've been to all the others and this one had a vibe about it that was unreal. The first "happy" hour was in deed so. There was so much pent up energy being released. It really was neat experience just to watch. The noise level was so high that I might have wipe out the sound track on the video. I know that I have to wipe out my constant muttering of "This is unbelievable."

Wow, great turnout!
Peter, sorry - I'll be patient! (<-- tapping my toes)

OK, I've seen references to "great pictures" both here and on Facebook . . . can anyone give me any hints as to where to view them? So far, all I've seen is Peter's video.
Thanks!

LOL. All of the girls still looked the same?! Impressive! Must be preservatives in the water in Virginia!

Yes, Karen, Charles, Peter, Kim, and everyone and anyone who was involved in making the Reunion happen - THANK YOU! It was great to see everyone and catch up. I had a great time and think I am still recovering but what the heck, I probably won't do that for another 10 years. Mark D. thanks for the special brew, it was great. Let me know if you ever decide to start selling it. Peter, the video is great and Mrs. Goldstein being there made my year. Thanks again and I look forward to the next one in 10 years.

To the entire "Manchester Family":

First: I want to thank every single one of you for your participation in this Reunion! Honestly, it exceeded all my expectations, and the fact of the matter is, that YOU made this the greatest! The decorations were absolutely awesome, the memorabilia brought back so many memories, but it was really the PEOPLE who made it work!

Secondly: I have a bunch of photos to sort through, clean up, brighten up, crop, reduce red-eye, etc. My husband's camera unfortunately pooped out on him early in the night, so I'm really hoping you all got some photos to share. Photos will be posted on this site in a on-going fashion- so please visit often!!

Third: The Memory Book will be a compilation of the best photos, as well as a good sampling of the classmates and teachers who attended. It will take some time to get photos from individuals, edit them and such, so it could take a couple of months to compile, then publish. I'll keep you updated on when to expect them.

Peter, Bethany, Mark D, Charles, Kim, Maynard, Eric, Mark Light, Mark Harold, Beth Davis, Ryne, Lisa Holman, Ricky Davenport, Leigh Anne and Dawn- Thank you for your efforts in making this event happen!!!!

Love to you all!

Ten years - I hope not. There isn't any reason that the class can't get together on a smaller grandiose scale perhaps more often. We were talking last night about just this item.

Maybe I'm nuts and don't get out much and that is the source of my thoughts. Bethany and I had fun. After all the buildup especially over the last few weeks, today is weird. Calm. Reflective.

Thanks to everyone who made the reunion happen. It was definitely the best one yet. Lots of fun and lots of old and new memories!
