Hey everybody! The idea of another reunion has already been proposed so I think we should follow up on it. I don't see it happening really soon like we would want it to, but if we brainstorm now we can come up with some ideas to utilize our limited time more efficiently. Karen had some great ideas for games and giveaways that never happened simply because the evening got away from us. Next time I think we should search for a venue that will allow us to stay longer than 4 hours. I also believe some classmates had an issue with the cost. We can work on that too. The more people get involved the lower the cost will be. Please keep in touch. I know it is easy to lose momentum after the enthusiasm wears off. I noticed we are still getting classmates to register to this site. Drop them a line and make them welcome. Have a great day every day! :-D

I LOVE THE VIDEO THAT BRIAN HAS, ITS AWESOME!

CHARLES, CHAOS, THAT'S A GREAT IDEA ABOUT ANOTHER REUNION.

I WANT YALL TO KNOW ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE:

I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL FOR 23 DAYS 20 IN ICU. I ALMOST DIED 3 TIMES. THEY SENT ME HOME WITH HOSPICE BECAUSE MY KIDNEYS WEREN'T FUNCTIONING AND GAVE ME 2 WKS TO LIVE ( I HAD 7 DIFFERENT DOCTORS).  I WENT BACK TO THE DOCTOR AND HAD MY KIDNEYS CHECKED AGAIN.  THE LORD HAS HEALED ME OF THAT.  MY KIDNEYS ARE FUNCTIONING AT 100%!  THE DOC SAID I WAS NOTHING SHORT OF A MIRACLE.  HE EVEN ASKED ME TO PUT HIS DAUGHTERS ON OUR PRAYER LIST ,ANNA AND ANNABELLE, WHO HAVE CP.  I JUST EVERYONE TO KNOW THAT THERE IS A GOD AND HE DOES HEAR OUR PRAYERS.  THANK YOU JESUS!

P.S.

MY KIDNEYS IN HOSPITAL WERE 3.7 (SCALE OF 1-4, 4 BEING SHUTDOWN)LAST TRIP TO THE DOCTORS 1.4!!!

I will get started on the book as soon as I get enough photos. I am very sorry that Brenda and I couldn't make it. I have shot reunions for just about every school in my corner of Florida and I end up missing my own. I will put together a hard cover book similar to what I do for weddings. I believe Karen is gathering up photos and is going to send them to me. Anyone who hasn't given their photos to Karen can copy them onto a cd or dvd and mail them directly to me at:

All I ask is that no one emails me a bunch of photos. I have had that happen before and it put my email account over capacity. My daughter freaked out because she is using my email address for all of her college correspondence. She may be running cross country and track at Arkansas, Mississippi State, Univ of South Florida or a few others including my beloved Va Tech.

Also, anyone that has some digital video files, send them too. I plan on putting together a video slide show and I can mix in some video clips along with the still photos. I will post that on my web site when it is done.

People, I have around 20 pictures so far. That ain't much of a book! Don't assume that others are going to be sending in hundreds of pictures. Also, don't assume that I will be able to pull them off of the web site. I need high resolution photos in order to make a quality book. Photos posted on a web page are typically reduced to 72dpi. The photos coming out of your digital camera are probably 300dpi (much more detailed).
Let's get this thing going...

Lance Wall

Hey guys,

I recently got on the MHS website for the first time. I just noticed that there is a photo for the 20 year reunion that says it is me (Phillip Wall), but it is not me because I was not there. I thought I would bring it to someone’s attention, so they can put the correct name on the guy who is in the picture. Even though my name is Phillip Lance Wall. People always called me by my middle name… Lance.

Marla Reichenberg Jones Died Monday, November 1st.  She had a massive heart attack on Thursday, October 28th.  She was put on life support.  On Monday she was removed from life support and breathed on her own for about an hour before she passed away.  She was 49.

I have to post a story in memory of Terry Kilpatrick.  I'm sure most of us remember Miss Gould from J.A. Chalkley.  Terry and I had her for 5th grade.  We were at the school one Saturday for reasons that escape me now.  Terry had a bicycle I assume was his.  We were taking turns riding when we decided to double up.  It had a banana seat so there was plenty room.  I was pedaling and steering.  He was seated and hanging on.  We were hauling ass.  I was headed for the parking lot at blinding speed.  The edge of the parking lot had those concrete car stops.  There was about six inches between them.  I decided I would just go through them.  I didn't slow down.  Terry figured out what I had in mind.  He urged me not to do it.  As we got closer his urges became more imperative.  I poured on the speed.  I assured him I could do it.  Right at the last second I evened out the pedals and we coasted through with no trouble.  That was a lot of fun.  Another time we were in class reading a story book that had a record of the story with it so you could read along with the record.  God knows where it came from.  It was a story about a little girl who lost a pet lamb.  I'm sure it was for first graders, but it was there and we were there with time to kill so we put the record on.  There was a troll who found the lamb.  Acording to the rules of the forest all you had to do to claim something lost was say a little rhyme.  In this case it was 3 and 3 and 3 are 9.  This white lamb is now all mine.  It was so gay.  I remember Terry and I and a kid named Ernest were there in the class singing this rhyme out loud.  The rest of the kids were staring at us because we had on head phones and they couldn't hear the story.  They could only hear us singing that tune.  It was a scream.  I didn't do much with Terry after grade school.  I saw him frequently at P.J.H.S.  I don't recall seeing him in Manchester.  I tried to contact him at this site, but I got no reply.  I am sorry he is gone.  He was a good kid.

I just learned today that John Bates passed away last year and the young age of 56.  I am just sick to my stomach to hear this sad news.  John and were good friends in high school and after.  He was kind, thoughtful, funny and just an all around good person.  I spent close to a week at his house when his parents were out of town I think right after high school.  we talked, laughed, drank who knows how much beer, and listened to the Stones' Some Girls album about 30 times that week.  Even after almost 40 years, I still think of him when I hear "Far Away Eyes".  We used to hang out at his 2nd floor apartment in the Fan too after he moved there.  Hang out for a weekend - talking on the porch, me smoking, both of us drinking cheap beer, watching crazy movies, and ording multiple pizzas a day.

I was fortunate enough to catch up with him at the 20 year reunion, meet his lovely wife, and spend some time talking about the fun times we had had.

I was fortunate to have had such a good and decent guy as a friend.  Even though I had not seen him in years, it still pains me to learn of his passing.  Another case of only the good die young.  Rest In Peace John.
