In Memory

Ruth Wood (Garner-Jarrell)

I went to school with Ruth since the 1st/2nd grade.  She was a gracious lady.  I know that she is now "more alive than she has ever been" in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.  She truly is at peace.

This is from her obituary in the Richmond Times-Dispatch from December 18, 2013:

JARRELL, Mrs. Ruth G., of Midlothian, went home to be with the Lord on December 17, 2013, after a courageous battle with MS. She was a kind and giving person with a big heart. Ruth is survived by her husband, Ernie; daughter, Crystal Palmer; father, Bobby Wood; two brothers, two stepchildren, seven grandchildren, numerous family and friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Tommie Wood; and mother-in-law, Betty Jarrell. A celebration of life will be held December 22, at 2 p.m. at Providence United Methodist Church, 901 S. Providence Rd., N. Chesterfield, 23236. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Providence Church.
