Kenny Jones

Kenny Jones

Kenny Jones married Lancerette Terri Wilkinson and together they had children.  Kenny's untimely death by electrocution brought classmates together in a final farewell and to comfort his beloved wife.  More information would be appreciated regarding the family Ken left behind.

I fondly remember Kenny- he put a tack in my seat in English class in the 7th grade (Providence Jr. High). I sat right on that tack, and he laughed at me with his unique laugh until I wanted to beat the crap out of him. Such was Kenny.... full of laughter.

We miss you, Kenny.

Kenny, myself and Greg Little hung out a great deal during my junior hs years. Kenny had a "persistent" spirit about him! We got along pretty well. As I recall he was a good trumpet player too. He played in the band with myself, Greg, Randy and Steve Shivers. I lost touch with him after HS and I heard about his death about a week after it happened. He was a good man.

Kenny was a great friend. He rode my bus, and i knew his family. We attended 10th grade Homecoming together (just as friends) but he was a great guy. I am sorry to say i missed his funeral, and was so sad to hear of his death at such a young age. I wish Terri and his kids all the best. RIP- I know you will as you were a believer. God Bless.

Kenny was not just my neighbor...he was the kid across the street that had to put up with a new kid in the neighborhood...My family moved across the street from Kenny's home on Burnett Drive in 1976.  Having moved from Maryland, I was quickly branded as a "Yankee"...though having moved from the deep mountains , I really didn't know what the hell that meant.   But, I had a Yamaha trailbike, and Kenny, and his friend (later my friend) Greg Little, who all had trail bikes, became friends.  We rode our bikes all over ...every damn power line from Courthouse Road to Pocohantas State Forest where I worked on the weekends - and to school when our parents weren't looking - just down the Power lines to Newby's Bridge, and off to school.

In high school, like most young people we had our "clicks" I guess, and we drifted apart as schoolmates, but not as friends.  It's funny how those "clicks" disappear as we grow older.  His family is and, I'm sure are, still the most warm-hearted people you'll ever want to meet.  I love Kenny for making me part of Chesterfield. And his Mom and Dad (late) for having me and my family over.   And, for putting up with my li'l sis and her BIG friggin horse (another story).   I hope only the best for Terri and their children.  Here's to a great guy...Cheers Kenny - thanks bro
