VAN SCHOONMAKER Obituary
SCHOONMAKER Van E. Schoonmaker, 64, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 13, 2011. Originally from Chicago, his father was a dentist, and his mom was a math teacher. He served his country with pride in the United States Navy. After his service, he moved to Jacksonville in 1973 and worked on automobile bodies with a couple of Navy friends. He was past President and board member of the Executive Association of Jacksonville, and a past board member of the Southside Business Men's Club. He was a good husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed by all. Visitation was held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17th in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. The Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday (today), August 18th in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin.
