Comments:

B.A. Music Theory, Trinity College. I worked as a waiter many years to support myself as a musician until I started taking improv classes around 1988. Slowly I became more involved with acting until I was able to get enough work to be a performer full time in 1992. The most significant thing to happen in my life is when I finally understood the gospel around age 48 after living a life as a Christian mostly plagued with guilt and worthlessness. My parents created a pretty chaotic home and I grew up feeling like I was good never enough. I went to church but the whole “Jesus dying on the cross for me” thing never made an impact on me. I thought that God was yet another person who I was trying to get to stoop being mad at me. I credit the teaching of R.C. Sproul’s explanation of “double imputation” (a fancy theological term you can look up); a simple but significant bit of information that I would never have to worry about being “good enough” for God to accept me as one of His own.

Favorite Lane Memory:

50 cents for lunch. 2 cents for as carton of milk. 4 cents for chocolate milk.
I loved singing in the chorus under the direction of Mr. Rico.

Current Interests:

I love performing, making people laugh, bringing people joy.

How did Lane Tech influence your life?

It was a pretty bad experience. I was double promoted twice in grade school and was 2 years younger that everyone else and didn’t start to feel comfortable until my senior year when I was about the same age as my classmates. I never learned good study habits, got poor grades, got money stolen from me by a bully, and hated myself. I don’t blame Lane. It was a pretty good school. But I struggled. I was unhappy and all I wanted to do was have fun.
