Finished a degree in business & management at NEIU, then became a CPA. Worked in corporate accounting in the banking and leasing industry for 20+ years. Married twice, a son with my first husband and a daughter with my current husband.
Retired from corporate accounting when I married Rich, a farmer, and became pregnant with daughter at age 40. Spent 8 years as a volunteer in various organizations including local Friends of the Library, church activities including choir, and school's weekly bingo program. I was a Girl Scout leader for 5 years and a Master Gardener at the local U of I extension office for 10 years.
I went back to work part-time in 2011 as a local church parish's business manager, then in 2013 as an associate accountant at a local CPA firm. Retired from CPA practice in August 2015.
From 2017 to 2025, I was Finance Manager at the Wauconda Area Library. I m now retired.
Appointed as a trustee at my local library in 2021 and ran for election and won in 2023 for 6-year term for same position. Currently serving as Treasurer.
Currently, I am the caregiver for my dad (94) and my mom (87), both still living in their home. I am also the backup caregiver for my granddaughter.
