I never knew Aliza very well, but my main memory of her was that she was very sweet.  There aren't many better ways in which a person could be remembered.  I only recently found out she had passed.  Before her loss came to my attention, I always thought it would be so nice to run into her one day and catch up.  I'm sad I'll never have the chance.

Aliza sat next to me in art class when we were sophomores. We had such fun and many laughs together over some of the "art" we created. Aliza once invited me to her house to make Falafel with her and her mom, who was from Israel. Not being Jewish, I had a brand new, delicious cultural experience in her home that day. I'm so sad to hear she passed.

Aliza happened to be visiting from Israel and came to our 20 year reunion at which time she told me that she and her family were moving to Arizona.  They did come to live in Arizona  but after a few years decided to move back to Israel.  Sadly, cancer took Aliza soon after her return.   Aliza was a kind and gentle soul and was a pediatric  physical therapist.  She has three beautiful daughters who live in Israel.
