Linda was one of the smartest people I ever knew. She was the first girl I took out on a date (I suspect I was the first boy who ever took her on a date, too). We went on a triple date to the Cubs game and it was a perfect day. The Cubs even won, on a late Billy Williams home run!
I'll never forget the shock of her untimely passing, in a car accident at the end of college. Even 36 years later, I think of her every July 30, her birthday. Wherever her spirit resides right now, I hope she's aware of all the people who remember her fondly, and miss her greatly.
