Jeff, I'm coming to San Diego on May 17th this year for two weeks to spend time with a long- time friend who will be having proton therapy there. Do you still live in San Diego? How about a tour in exchange for a good dinner? And you would know where the good restaurants are.

Aloha Steve, this is Fred James. I'm sure you may have forgotten all the stuff I told you about the works of Patrick O'Brian who wrote 21 totally fascinating novels about Captain Aubrey and his side kick, Dr. Maturin. You, being a yacht maker would above all people appreciate this series which began with "Master and Commander" which was turned into a fantastic movie starring Russell Crowe as Aubrey. New Trier was a four year wild ride. I love the music, sports, babes, even some of the academics. I came out of NT better trained to write a resume, think logically and appreciate history and the performing arts than most of my peers across the country. Did I mention the gorgeous babes at NT?
LD, you asked if I took Driver's Ed. I did and it was in the technical building. They used to show all sorts of bloody, black and white movies of car crashes. I remember it well. They had a machine to measure how fast one could take their feet off the gas and place on the brakes. I had no problem with the class having already driven my friends' cars.
