Classmate Bill Ragusi was born May 30, 1944 and passed away Sept. 27, 2012. He lived in Northfield, IL and is survived by his wife, Ann. Bill served on the Northfield Police Department for over 20 years and had retired prior to his passing away.

I just remember Bill from Avoca school in Wilmette...and our mutual friend, Fred Amodeo
He was a reserved guy then whom I suspect was actually just sort of shy...actually pretty nice.

I am a little surprised to learn he became a police officer but a good number of people do whom you would not have expected it of if you only knew them when younger

Like so many of our 992 classmates at New Trier in 1963 I did not know Bill Ragusi well but was aware of him. He sat next to me at the dinner at our 45th Reunion.When the pictures came around of our gathering there Bill liked them very much but told me he had forgotten to bing sufficient cash. I gave him $25 so he could buy the pic. He told me he would show up at the farewell breakfast in Glencoe the next day and pay me back.
The next day at the breakfast there was Bill with my $25.00. I like people who keep their word. It's so rare. For this reason I was very saddened at his passing. And John Dawkins too. He who had sung so vigorously at the 40th Reunion when we formed the VERY Senor Boys Ensemble. Another reason to show up for the 50th. We are passing so quickly!
