Though I did not enjoy my high school years (working for Sr. Francesca in the art department left no time for other activities), I've always been grateful. Grateful especially for the friendships, for Sr. Clare's kind encouragement, and Sr. Eleanor's high standards and dedication. High school is the time for the hard work of becoming yourself - not always fun. Actually, I'm still in the process - only now it really is fun.
One thing leads to another: a wonderful husband, lovely daughters and beautiful grandchildren; 33 years of teaching, including 2 years teaching English in Switzerland and collaborating with Kids Can Free the Children (I loved it all!); retiring to CA where the girls' families are as well; and plenty of other adventures along the way.
The reunion team has done a terrific job, and I enjoy seeing the photos of them at work. Another reason for us all to be grateful.
