I think it's great what Steve and others are doing to bring classmates together. Thanks Steve! My husband Von and I live on my family farm east of Sayre - it's called Doxey- and was once a thriving community. It's been in our family since 1906. We enjoy sharing this land with the deer, turkey and other wild things that also call it home.
I'm currently working in title research for an Oklahoma O & G company - working at home, which is wonderful because we have a very special daughter, Kacy, who has Rett Syndrome and requires total care. She's the greatest blessing in my life - but I have to say, we do enjoy our 6 grandchildren also. They range in age from 18 mos - 11 years.
I spent most of my working life in California and Elk City, OK - working in community social work, first for the YWCA & then, 2 cities. Developing & implementing intervention & diversionary programs for at-risk teens & delinquent youth, learning to write grants out of necessity (funding!) - and raising four kids is how I've spent the last 30 years of my life. I loved every minute of it and would do it all over again - but without those darn mistakes!
