Debby Grisham Brewer

I received a BA in Elementary Education, taught 6th grade for a couple of years, then settled in as a homemaker for several years. I married a minister of music, Cecil Brewer, during college and we lived in 3 different states, coming back to OK in 1995.
I went back to school to get a Masters Degree in Theology and taught New Testament History and Old Testament History for Wayland Baptist University as an adjunct for four years.
In 2008, Cecil and I bought a Bed and Breakfast in Duncan and have enjoyed the hospitality business for 2 1/2 years now. We hope to retire gracefully at the B&B in the next several years.

I remember serving as a hostess/tour guide for the new high school. We were very proud of the "high tech" intercom system, large rooms, closed circuit TV's, etc. I brought a group into the room that was used as a meeting place for large groups and an elderly woman in my group fell off of one of the steps injuring herself. I calmly walked over to the intercom system and called for help. . . over and over. No one ever responded.
We finally had to run out for help, the old fashioned way. I don't think we impressed anyone in that group with our new fangled communications system.
