Sweet Kathy. I shed tears when I read of her passing. I enjoyed knowing Kathy in high school . She was such a good person and treated everyone she knew with respect. I am still trying to process her passing especially of complications from a devastating disease as Alzheimer's at such a young age. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. I understand her sister Shelley was caring for her at the time of her passing. Thank you Shelley for taking such good care of Kathy. I know how challenging, both physically and emotionally,  care taking is for loved ones who suffer from Alzheimer's. God Bless you and your family.

Our sincere condolences to Kathy's family.  Such, sad, heartbreaking news.  Kathy was such a genuinely sweet, kind person.  May she finally rest in peace.

Kathy was an absolute sweetheart. I never saw her after graduation, but my memory is that the light in her eyes was always brighter than most, and her optimism was impressive. It is particularly particularly heartbreaking that such a person was lost to a disease that dims this light to cast long shadows across the spirit it is slowly, inexorably claiming.

Kathy was absolutely one of the sweetest people I have ever met.  We were actually pen pals while she lived in Red Bluff before she moved to Chico.  I don't remember how we got hooked up as pen pals but was excited to be able to meet her.  I am sorry we didn't keep in touch after high school and am so sad that she was taken at such a young age by such a devastating disease. God Bless Kathy and her family.

I met Kathy in 1966.  We were both new to the school and we had four or five classes together.  So, we became quickly aquainted.  She was really friendly.  She let me share her locker for most of the year (mine was way out in another building),  She often stayed after school and studied with me in the library at the end of the day because I had to wait for the bus to take us home.   She got her driver's license and a bunch of us piled in her car and went to the out of town football games, etc.  So, she really made my high school experience memorable.  Thank you Shelley for taking care of your sister.
