I attended Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University from 2000-2005 with a dual degree in Fine Arts Printmaking & Fine Arts Sculpture with minors in visual merchandising, theatre, graphic design, art education, and business management. I began doing window display at Shreve, Crump & Low in Boston in 2004, which led to a job at Persona Jewelry in Boston as their Creative Director doing window displays and planning in-store events and marketing. In 2006 once school was finished I also accepted a job at Fenway Community Health Center in Development putting on 2 high profile events (1500 people each) each year until 2008. In 2008 I became the Operations Manager at Tony Williams Dance Center, while also costuming their yearly holiday show, the Urban Nutcracker (the second largest show in Boston each year).
2008 brought about the first step into recession and TWDC lost their funding, causing me to leave that job and become a freelancer in window displays, event planning and private cooking/teaching cooking. I did that through Boston Center for Adult Education and on my own, while also working at Persona Jewelry this entire time. In 2012 I can back on board with TWDC and continued my work with the Urban Nutcracker, now in its 15th year.
I am very committed to my career, and have little social life, but I do love to throw dinner parties for friends and see as much theatre as possible.
It's not as much a story, but a life changing experience. I met my best friend (now of 28 years) Allison Gaston Tignon in school in Chiliicothe and for that I will forever be grateful.
