I attended Capital University in Bexley, Ohio and graduated in 1992 with a degree in Music Education. After graduation, I applied for several public school teaching positions; none of which panned out. So, I subbed off and on for a year. I began taking classes in deaf studies in 1992, and applied for a teaching position with the Department of Rehab. and Corrections. They hired me to teach the inmates who were deaf. I started teaching at Orient Correctional Institution in 1993. I maried in 1997, but he decided that he didn't want to be attached, and left less than a year later. I remarried in 2003 to a wonderful guy. After Orient closeed in 2002, I transferred to CCI as a GED teacher. I earned my Master's Degree in 2003, and in October 2007, I became the teaching supervisor at CCI. That's a fancy title for School Administrator. My husband and I built our own home in between Frankfort and Clarksburg on some land that I owned. I enjoyed my time growing up in Chillicothe, but I am glad to be in the country where your neighbor is not 10 feet away from your window. Our home will probably continue to be a work in progress, but as long as we have the time, energy, and money ( which is hard to come by), we will get it done sooner or later. We have 3 spoiled rotten cats who rule the house. We will eventyally have horses, too.
