Greetings CSSS Class of 71!                    
 
It will soon be 40 years since most of us finished at CHILLIWACK SENIOR SECONDARY.  We, your  Class committee (self appointed), having time on our hands,  thought it would be great to once again, get together for a class reunion, especially since our alma mater will be torn down next year! The reunion will be held the weekend of September 23 - 25, 2011.  Our weekend plans include:

 

• Friday evening, Sept. 23rd, 7-10 P.M.: school tour and reception at the School (remember, last chance).
• Saturday evening, Sept. 24th buffet and dance at Duke's Pub (at 41582 Yale Rd. (Take Yale Rd. West Exit off Highway 1))
  Buffet dinner at 7:00 - 8:30 P.M. and dance 9:00 P.M. - 1:00 A.M.  
• Sunday, Sept. 25th an informal get together is being considered at Cultus Lake. Location and time to be announced
  

 

Facilities are tentatively booked, but we must have a good and early response from you in order to make it happen! Grads contacted in the Chilliwack area seem very keen on attending and we are hopeful that the out-of-town grads will respond positively as well. 
 
The cost of tickets is $45.00 per person which includes all weekend events.  The committee has designated Anne Girbav (nee Creber) and Harald Bartel to handle the finances.  Please mark your cheque or money order payable to  CSSS 40th Reunion.  Your cancelled cheque or money order copy is your receipt.  Your ticket(s) will be available at either Friday or Saturday night's event, depending on the events you attend.
   
We want to provide you the most value for your dollar and make the weekend of events a most memorable occasion.  In the event that the response is not adequate to host any or all of the events, we will advise you and ensure that your cheque or money order is returned to you in due course.
 
You will find attached, a list of the names of the grads whom we have not been able to locate or contact.  We are seeking your assistance to locate them and advise them of the weekend reunion plans. Please have them contact us at csss40th@gmail.com

Please feel free to contact any committee member should you have any questions, comments or any suggestions.  Consider this a must for this year's plans -- remember this is a weekend for you, so come out and enjoy good times with old friends.

Hors d'oeuvres reception and school tour
1971 School Valedictorian Deb Zagwyn (Turney) will address the Class

Bring your shorts and shoot baskets in the Gym. 

Bring your whites for lawn bowling J
 
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 24 
Location:  Duke's Country Pub (41582 Yale Road, Chilliwack, BC)
Buffet:  7:00 pm to 8:30 pm  Dance:  9:00 pm to 1:00 am (no host bar)
1971 School President Bob Anderson will address the Class.
Door prizes and entertainment!
Note:  Free designated driver for a safe ride home to Chilliwack/Abbotsford/Agassiz areas

Cultus Lake get-together?? (weather dependent -- to be announced at school and Duke's)
