REUNION DETAILS

Saturday Feb 21st-----Arrive In Galveston for those coming in the day before.  Meet at Joe's Crab Shak for those wanting to get together. Meal at your own cost.  I have not verified yet if it is open since Hurricane Ike.

Sunday Feb 22nd     DO NOT PUT YOUR PASSPORT IN YOUR SUITCASE.  Keep on your person along with any medications and drivers license etc.

11:00am to 3:00PM  Board the Funship "Conquest". When you get dropped off--you will hand your baggage over to one of the baggers to put on a rolling baggage holder.  You are asked to tip $1.00 per bag.    Then enter cruise terminal.  You will have to show your FUNPASS--before being allowed to go up the esculator to the next floor.  When you go thru inspection you will have to put your purse thru an xray machine and if you have steel toed boots--they will need to be removed.  They have a container to put all your change and stuff in that you may have in your pockets.  After inspection you will enter the registration area, where you will show your FUNPASS and be issued your SAIL AND SIGN CARDS. Your method of payment will be asked for----to put on your account.  Once they have issued you your FUNPASS--you will go to the picture taking area--which you have to pass thru before entering the ship. 

Your picture(family or single) will be taken after you are done at the ticket counter(with a background and "Conquest on it.)  You can buy them later at the Photo Shop.  You will also have  your picture taken  right before or right after you board the ship.  This is put in a bar code on your Sail and Sign Card so every time you exit the ship and get back on, you have to scan your card--and it shows your picture to verify it is really you.

Food will be Served on the LIdo Deck(9th Deck)starting at 12:00 Noon

1:00pm for those onboard----we will have a meet and greet in Atrium Bar-Deck 4-midship shipboard side.

Get your soda fountain cards at any bar/eat lunch on Lido Deck(9th Deck)--If you have registered with a credit card.  If not go to the pursers office and put your money down on your account(sail and sign card) and then go to the bar in the atruim and get your soda fountain card.  They have adult and kids fountain cards.

2:00-3:00PM  Check out your cabins.   You will receive your luggage between 2:00 and 7:00pm.  They will leave it outside your door.  Make sure to fill out your baggage tags that you print directly from the Carnival website.  It should have your room # on it and what deck and be colored coded.  If you have something important you need during this time, please keep it on you.

4:00PM Safety Muster--bring the life jacket out of your room(in the closet).Everyone MUST ATTEND.  Your rooms will be checked.

5:00PM  Ship sets off.  Watch from your balcony or from the Lido Deck.

5:00PM  Sail Off  Party Starts on the Lido Deck(Deck 9) for those who want to attend. 

Once in International waters the casino will open. You are welcome to register for any contests as you like--Texas Hold'em Poker, Roulette, Slots and others.

Your dining room name, table #,  and time will be listed on your Sail and Sign Card. We are all registered for 6:15PM dining in the dining room.  This is just so we can dine together if we chose.  You are more then welcome to eat on the Lido Deck-Buffet or the Pizzeria or other eatery any time you want.  There are 2 formal dining nights--Monday and Thursday.  We can pick one of those for our group if we would like.  Dress/Slacks outfit for the women and Suit/Tux for the men.   No shorts or swim wear are allowed in the dining room.

Smoking is allowed in certain area's.   Most bars, Lido deck-shipboard side, atruim bar area, and casino.  Other area's listed on your Capers-(Daily Newspaper) that will be on the bed in your room.  Smoking is allowed on balconies. Just do not throw over the edge of balcony.

Listen for the Cruise Director for messages about ongoing parties and activities.

7:00PM Teenagers meet at the O2 Room for information about the week and get to know.  Game Room Arcade is next to the O2 Room--can be used by kids or/and adults.   The O2 Room is just past the Casino on the aft(back) part of the ship.

Since the pools are salt water---Ladies--please shave your legs the night before.  If you shave before entering any of the pools, your skin will break out.   There are several pools and hot tubs around the ship.  ANd also a water slide.

See your "Capers" for daily activities which the room stewart will leave in your room every night when they turn the beds down. 

 

 

 

You are allowed to bring a reasonable amount of water or soda of your choice on the boat.  Pack a suit case full of them and just put them with your other suitcases.   Any liquer or wine will be put away and you will be charged a $10 cork fee to use it on the ship.  That way you have an extra suitcase to transport your suvinears back when you depart the ship.  You can also pack sweets or chips as you like.  They do scan all suitcases and drug dogs do sniff all luggage.
