I reunited with Gail in the eighties. I had meet my future husband Steve who was from Barneveld, NY. As I spent time there, Steves good friends were Sharon and Larry Lusk(from Chittenango). As I reunited with Larry(in shock to see him in Barneveld), Best friends of the Lusks where Gail (Thompson) Smith and her husband Dick. The Smiths had 4 beautiful children, and they were still as much in love as they were in High School. They spent many weekends at the Lusks. After diagnosed, Gail battled a hard and dignfied fight against her Breast cancer, She lost her battle right after Christmas in the late eighties. She was very sick, but never complained. I was so saddened back then to lose such a fine person.
Also, back in 1999, for those of you that don 't know, Larry lost a very short battle with Pancreatic cancer. Maryann
